The Team

Grew up in Oudtshoorn with an unprecedented love for the Little Karoo. At school he was called a dreamer and WAVOLT Adventures motorcycle tours is one of those dreams.

During his working life he became a well-travelled South African who has been to over three hundred places in South Africa. With a passion for adventure and motorcycles, adventure motorcycling was the perfect vehicle to live out his passion. With thorough knowledge of South Africa he also explored Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia Botswana and Angola. WAVOLT was established to share this passion for adventure and motorcycles with other people.

Not only does Michael lead every tour himself, he is a qualified and registered Adventure Motorcycle Guide with Cathssetha (Culture, Art, Tourism, Hospitality and Sports Education and Training Authority – Accreditation Number: 613/P/000005/2004). 

One of the benefits of adventure motorcycling is making new friends and that’s how Hyron and Michael became friends.

Hyron’s the kind of guy you want in your team. He is cool, calm and collective and knows his stuff when it comes to emergencies. To see him in action and taking control of an emergency situation is just fantastic.

Hyron’s love for medical rescues and adventure motorcycling makes him the perfect medical official for the WAVOLT team giving our riders peace of mind that they are in good hands should something go wrong.
