The Camdeboo region, nestled within the Great Karoo, boasts sweeping plains, rugged mountains, and a network of country roads, isolated towns and villages to be explored.
This journey is about more than just riding. During this motorcycle adventure you will have the opportunity to visit charming Karoo towns, traverse beautiful old passes and indulce in delicious Karoo cruisine.

Meeting Day – 17:00 Arrival at Karoopark Guesthouse Graaff-Reinet
Karoopark needs no introduction to our riders. After you settled in we meet over a delicious dinner which provide the perfect opportunity to meet your fellow riders.
The route takes us via Pearston and up the Buffelshoek Pass. We follow the Klein-Visriver south and ride through the Noorsveld towards Jansenville where we stop for lunch.
After lunch we do a beautiful ride all along Sundays River back to Graaff-Reinet.
After breakfast our route takes us via Erasmuskloof and Elandskloof Pass to Nieu-Bethesda and surrounds. En route we will drive past Voortrekker leader, Andries Pretorius’s farm, Letskraal.
On this scenic route we also see the impressive 2502-metre high Kompasberg overlooking the village of Nieu-Bethesda where we have a lunch break.
After lunch we ride up Uitkyk Pass and make our way to The Valley of Desolation. Sheer cliffs and precariously balanced columns of Dolerite rise 120 metres from the valley floor, against the timeless backdrop of the vast plains of the Camdeboo. This is the product of volcanic and erosive forces of nature over 100 million years.
After viewing this magnificent site we make our way back to Karoopark.
We ride a stunning loop around Die Sneeuberge which takes us to the Karoo towns of Murraysberg and Aberdeen.
After breakfast the tour ends and we all say our goodbyes.
For the duration of this tour we will be staying at one of our favourite places in Graaff-Reinet, Karoopark Guesthouse.
Karoopark is a favourite amongst our riders with typical Karoo style accommodation and devine Karoo cruisine.
All bedding and towles are provided. Accomodation includes dinner and breakfast and you can be assured that we will treat you to some great Karoo cuisine.
Intermediate skill level – The routes on this bike tour is comfortable and will be easy to navigate for the average rider with or without a pillion.
You must be comfortable riding at an average of 80 KM/H on solid pack dirt roads and have the ability to handle some loose stuff here and there. Roads in the area are mostly solid pack dirt roads and tracks but depending on traffic and when last it was graded there can be a little loose stuff here and there.
